Delete Your Account

Request permanent deletion of your Shopinn account and associated personal data.

What happens when you delete

Account deletion is a two-step process designed to give you a recovery window if you change your mind, while still removing your personal data permanently.

Immediate (when you confirm)

  • You are signed out of all devices
  • Sign-in is blocked
  • Saved cart, wishlist, addresses, and notifications are removed
  • Pending wallet withdrawals are cancelled

After 30 days

  • Name, email, phone, and profile photo are permanently removed
  • Saved addresses are deleted
  • Identity documents (rider/agent only) are removed
  • If you change your mind during the 30 days, email privacy@shopinn.co.ke and we'll cancel the deletion

What is retained

Some records are kept after deletion to comply with Kenyan tax and accounting law:

  • Order history (7 years) — anonymized so the merchant's sales records remain accurate
  • Payment and refund records — required for tax filings
  • Wallet transactions and withdrawal history — required for accounting
  • Logistics records (rider trips, agent handoffs) — for two years to support disputes

Submit your deletion request

Enter the email address registered to your Shopinn account. We will email you a confirmation link to verify the request — no changes happen to your account until you click the link.

Already signed in?

You can also delete your account from inside the Shopinn mobile app. Open the app, go to Profile → Account → Delete My Account.
